Asphalt Island
This property had a double-poured 6” thick asphalt pad for a backyard. Let’s just say summer back here was roasting and no irrigation. It was time for the heavy demolition! We took a reductive approach, removing two dumpsters full of debris, making space for fast-growing and shady Eucalyptus tree’s, kids play area (faux lawn with pad underneath), a water feature, and tons of mediterranean perennials. This was photographed early after installation. Updates to come once it is grown-in later 2024.
